The Milwaukee Brewers Win Their First World Series
The Milwaukee Brewers won the World Series on Wednesday, October 28, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in Game 5 at Tropicana Field to take the series four games to one. It is the first championship in franchise history. Milwaukee's only other trip to the World Series was in 1982, when the team lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games. Catcher William Contreras was named Series MVP after hitting .381. Cooper Pratt set a Series rookie record with six straight hits, and Jackson Chourio set a five-game Series record with 11 hits. In the clincher, Jacob Misiorowski pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings.
Houston fans know this team well. The Astros and Brewers played in the same National League division until the Astros moved to the American League in 2013. We also know how long a first title can take. The Astros began play in 1962 and won their first World Series in 2017, 55 years later. This year's Astros finished 81-81, won the AL West on the final day of the season, and lost to the Chicago White Sox in the Wild Card Series.
Baseball is finished until spring, but homes in Houston keep selling through the fall and winter. If you are thinking about selling or buying and want to talk through your options, call me at 281-818-8177 or book a time at le-rocks.com.
